System KAN‑therm ultraLINE also offers professional installation tools. There are two types of tools to choose from.
Battery-powered tools, specially manufactured for connecting System KAN‑therm ultraLINE, supplied by the renowned German company Klauke, as well as high-grade manual tools.
Expanders are used to perform the process of expanding the pipe end (extension of the pipe diameter). This process is possible thanks to special expanding heads working with the manual and electric expander.
The expanding heads have a different design and look, depending on the type of pipe used.
This way, tool identification is easy and intuitive.
The selection of a proper expanding head for a given type of pipe is very important for the correctness of a tight and durable connection of system KAN‑therm ultraLINE.
Detailed guidelines on the expanding head selection is described in the KAN technical documentation.
Crimping tools work with sets of crimping forks. There are two forks for each diameter. To make a clamp on a given diameter, equip the press tool with a suitable set of forks.
System KAN‑therm ultraLINE crimping forks ensures a very wide angle of access to the fitting (as much as 270 °), that significantly increases the comfort of assembling the system in places hard to reach.
SYSTEM KAN‑therm ultraLINE makes it possible to install with standard electric drives used for radial pressing (e.g. System KAN‑therm ultraPRESS). This option is implemented by using a special adapter of System KAN‑therm ultraLINE in combination with a "Press" crimping tool.
